Hope. Healing. Wholeness After Betrayal.
meet RACHELLE WEGER, MA, LPC, CCPS, CCES
Hi, I’m Rachelle.
I want to honor the vulnerable and courageous decision you have made to begin counseling. Some of the values I hold dear and bring into the therapeutic relationship are authenticity, empathy, empowerment, and a willingness to lean into the hard work of change. My hope is that together, we can ease your burdens and celebrate your growth.
While I am capable of helping clients with various mental health concerns, I have specialized training to work with individuals and relationships impacted by sex addiction, including compulsive pornography use or other problematic sexual behaviors. I utilize a trauma-informed, partner-sensitive approach to this work.
I also support couples in early recovery after the discovery of sexual addiction or infidelity. This “relational CPR” helps an individual who has been unfaithful provide the empathy and support needed to their partner in the immediate aftermath. If this type of trauma has left you or your relationship shaken and you are unsure of how to move forward, it would be an honor to join you in this healing journey. As someone who has experienced betrayal trauma in my own life, I can provide a unique understanding and a safe space to help you recover.
I am passionate about helping trauma survivors of all kinds rebuild their lives and sense of self through coping skills, boundaries and empowered choice. I am also skilled in working with survivors of intimate partner violence, including issues such as gaslighting, coercive control, and narcissistic abuse.
Although it may not have always felt like it, healing is possible and within your reach! I strive to empower my clients, and I believe that you have the ability to feel whole again. I utilize EMDR, trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and mindfulness-based/somatic approaches.
